PD Dr. Stefan Klingner is a Lecturer in Philosophy at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen, Germany, where he completed his Habilitation in 2024. He previously held a research/teaching position (2015-2024) at the same university’s Philosophisches Seminar and has taught at TU Dresden, University of Trier, and Otto-Friedrich-Universität Bamberg.
Education:

- 2024 Habilitation in Philosophy, Georg-August-Universität Göttingen
Research Interests: Klingner’s work centres on Kant and Early-Modern Philosophy, with particular attention to technical reason, natural theology, epistemology and aesthetics. He investigates the role of intuition, the concept of culture, and the interplay between reason and revelation in the German Enlightenment.
His recent publications explore Spinoza’s Cartesian heritage, Kant’s distinction between sensibility and understanding, and the narrative of evil in Kant’s philosophy of religion, demonstrating a continuous focus on systematic issues within historical contexts.
