Dr. Sara Di Giulio is a PartTime Lecturer at the University of Tübingen’s Faculty of Philosophy, Department of Philosophy, since 2023. Her research focuses on Kantian ethics, moral psychology, and early Enlightenment philosophy, particularly exploring themes such as moral certainty, conscience, and the historical context of Kant’s works.
Education:

Her research examines Kant’s Metaphysik der Sitten Vigilantius, comparing Kant’s moral philosophy with Alexander Gottlieb Baumgarten’s work. She has contributed to edited volumes and journals, focusing on Kantian ethics, moral conflicts, and the role of conscience in Enlightenment thought. Her recent projects include organizing the 2018 conference on Casuistry and the Theory of Conscience, funded by the Fritz Thyssen Foundation.
Grants and Collaborations: She completed a six-month research stay at the University of St Andrews (2016) and a post-doc at the University of Tübingen (2015–2017) with Fritz Thyssen Foundation funding. She collaborates with Dr. Alberto Frigo on Kant-Pascal studies.
