Dr. Stefan Anđus is a Researcher at the Department of Hydroecology and Water Protection within the Institute for Biological Research "Siniša Stanković", which is an Institute of National Importance for the Republic of Serbia and part of the University of Belgrade.
His research spans multiple dimensions of aquatic ecosystems with expertise in Aquatic ecology, Biodiversity, and Environmental protection. His specialized knowledge includes aquatic macroinvertebrates, freshwater sponges, bioindicators, and ecological status assessment methodologies. Dr. Anđus employs molecular techniques including PCR in his research approach.
His work contributes significantly to understanding Invasion biology, Biomonitoring, Bioremediation processes, and Functional ecology within freshwater systems, with particular attention to Climate change responses in aquatic environments.
