Stefan Albers is a Professor of Flute at the Hochschule für Musik Würzburg (HfM Würzburg), where he has held a professorship since the winter semester 2018/19 and was formally appointed in 2019/20. He is also the solo flutist at the Mainfranken-Theater Würzburg, a position he has held since 2006. Albers previously taught music education students at Julius-Maximilians-University Würzburg (2006–2018) and served as a lecturer in the flute class at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst Frankfurt am Main (2018–2020).
His education includes studies in Karlsruhe under Prof. Renate Greiss-Armin, where he graduated with honors in both music teaching and artistic education, followed by advanced soloist studies in Geneva with Prof. Jacques Zoon (2005–2007).
Stefan Albers is deeply engaged in performance and music pedagogy. His research and artistic interests center on flute performance, chamber music, orchestral repertoire, music education, and historical performance practices. As a performer, he has collaborated with major orchestras such as the Deutsche Radiophilharmonie Saarbrücken, Stuttgart Philharmonic, and Nuremberg Symphony Orchestra.
