Alice K. Dade is an Associate Professor of Flute at the University of Missouri School of Music, where she has been a valued faculty member since 2011. An accomplished performer, she serves as Principal Flute of the Missouri Quintet and has established herself as a distinguished flutist on both national and international stages.
Ms. Dade's educational journey began at Interlochen Arts Academy at age fifteen, followed by undergraduate and graduate studies at The Juilliard School, where she earned her MM and studied with renowned flutists Carol Wincenc, Robert Langevin, and Sandra Church. As a Powell Artist, she performs on a handmade 14K Powell Flute with a platinum headjoint.
Her diverse career encompasses solo, chamber, and orchestral performance. She has served as Acting Co-Principal Flute of the Swedish Radio Symphony Orchestra, touring internationally to Russia, Germany, Italy, Belgium, and throughout Sweden. Her orchestral credits include performances with the Bergen Philharmonic, Norrköping Symphony Orchestra, Seoul Philharmonic, St. Louis Symphony, Moscow Chamber Orchestra, New York Philharmonic, Los Angeles Philharmonic, and Detroit Symphony Orchestra.
Award-winning as a soloist, Ms. Dade has won the Olga Koussevitsky Wind Competition of the Musicians Club of New York and The New York Flute Club Competition. Her debut solo album "Living Music" was released on Naxos in 2018, with CD release events in Paris, France and California. She has also appeared on Deutsche Grammophon and Arte Verum recordings.

Ms. Dade has presented masterclasses at universities worldwide, including Inje University (South Korea), The University of Guanajuato (Mexico), Vanderbilt University, Penn State University, and The University of Kentucky. She has been a faculty member at the PRIZM International Chamber Music Festival and Flutes by the Sea Masterclass, sharing her expertise in flute performance and pedagogy.
