Stanislava Ivanova

Assoc. Professor Stanislava Ivanova serves as head of the Research Division in Phytoterapeutics and board member at the Research Institute of Medical University of Plovdiv, affiliated with the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. She is an active member of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union and Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy.

Educational background:

• Pharmaceutical Faculty graduation (MPharm), Medical University of Plovdiv
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Specialty: "Analysis of Medicinal Products"
• Numerous specialized courses on analytical equipment for biologically active compounds

Her research focuses on therapeutic potential of plant-derived molecules, with expertise in chemical composition analysis of plant extracts and essential oils. She develops innovative analytical methods and currently leads projects targeting high-potential plant molecules for therapeutic applications, bridging phytochemistry, pharmacognosy, and pharmaceutical chemistry.

Assoc. Professor Ivanova heads multiple scientific projects and mentors PhD students and early-career researchers, driving advancements in natural product-based drug development.
