Kalin Ivanov

Assoc. Professor Kalin Ivanov, MPharm, PhD, serves as dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the Medical University of Plovdiv and has led the Department of Pharmacognosy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry since 2018. He is an active member of the Bulgarian Pharmaceutical Union and Bulgarian Scientific Society of Pharmacy.

His educational qualifications include:

• Graduation from Pharmaceutical Faculty of Medical University - Sofia (2004)
• PhD in Pharmaceutical Chemistry
• Specialty in "Analysis of Medicinal Products"

Professor Ivanov's research centers on Phytotherapeutics and Pharmacognosy, leveraging advanced analytical equipment for biologically active compounds. His work extends into Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Personalized Medicine through pharmaceutical innovations, with contributions to simulation-training technologies and innovative diagnostic methods in medical science.

He has supervised 3 PhD students and numerous postgraduate specialists in the "Analysis of medicinal products" training program, reflecting his 18+ years of teaching experience.

As leader of the Integrative and creative Research Division on Phytotherapeutics at the Medical University of Plovdiv's Research Institute, he drives interdisciplinary research in medicinal plant science and drug development for clinical applications.
