Stacy Lotz is a Professor of Art in the Department of Art at Monmouth College, where she recently served as associate dean of academic affairs and received the Hatch Award for Excellence in Teaching.

Research Interests: Professor Lotz's practice explores Sculpture and Ceramics through the lens of place-based experiences, everyday objects, and natural/manufactured Serial Art patterns. Her longstanding investigation of hybridized corn bridges agricultural science and artistic expression, while her Public Art initiatives demonstrate commitment to community engagement and accessibility. As an educator, she integrates these themes into Art History and Art Education pedagogy.

Administrative and Community Leadership: She served as Monmouth College's associate dean of academic affairs and previously held leadership roles at the Galesburg Civic Art Center, establishing "Kids Month" and securing a National Endowment for the Arts grant to implement art programs in juvenile detention facilities. Her teaching portfolio spans foundational courses like Design and Hand-built Ceramics to advanced seminars including Citizenship: Creating Change through Art and Senior Exhibition.
