Andrew Lotz is a Teaching Professor, Academic Advisor, Director of Undergraduate Studies, and Assistant Dean for Undergraduate Studies at the University of Pittsburgh's Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences. He holds a B.A. in Political Science and English Writing from Hope College (2009) and a M.A. and Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Pittsburgh (2009).
Research Interests: Dr. Lotz specializes in the intersection of politics and pop culture, particularly analyzing Manga comics and the Song of Ice and Fire series (Game of Thrones). His current focus includes propaganda, myth, and their roles in regime support, alongside themes in Fascism, Totalitarianism, Democratic Theory, and Justice Theory. He also explores Feminist Political Thought through a political theory lens.
