Dr. Stacy Delacruz is an Associate Professor of Literacy in the Department of Elementary and Early Childhood Education at Kennesaw State University's Bagwell College of Education. She also serves as the Interim Director of Education Student Services and has been at KSU since 2009. Her research focuses on K-5 digital literacy, examining how emerging technologies can be integrated into literacy instruction to prepare students for a global society.
Her work includes projects on code literacy, virtual field trips, online guided reading groups, and afterschool tutoring partnerships with university teacher candidates. She has published in journals like TechTrends, The Reading Teacher, and Literacy Practice & Research, and presented at conferences such as the Literacy Research Association and International Literacy Association. Delacruz is also the President of the Organization of Teacher Educators in Literacy, a special interest group of ILA.
