Judge Stacey Donovan is an Adjunct Professor of Trial Advocacy at the University of Kansas School of Law since 2008 and a Douglas County District Court Judge since 2020. She presides over felony criminal cases and conflict Child in Need of Care (CINC) cases. She serves as Vice Chair of the Kansas Sentencing Commission, appointed by Chief Justice Marla Luckert.

Research & Teaching: Her research focuses on offender registration law. She teaches Trial Advocacy and has extensive experience in criminal defense, serving as Chief Public Defender for the Third Judicial District (2011–2020).

- Shawnee County Jail Public Relations Board (Chair since 2016)
