Stéphane DELALANDE

Stéphane DELALANDE serves as a Professor at Arts et Métiers Institute of Technology since his appointment on March 1, 2022, affiliated with the Processes and Engineering in Mechanics and Materials Laboratory (PIMM), a joint research unit under CNRS (UMR 8009).

His research spans critical domains in materials engineering with dual focus areas:

• Polymer and composite material systems through the P&C research team
• Metallic material behavior and microstructure via the CoMet team

Professor DELALANDE actively contributes to PIMM's experimental platforms including polymer processing systems, laser technologies (Hephaestus' Laser Shock and Thermal Laser Processes), and advanced characterization facilities covering physico-chemical analysis, microscopy, X-ray imaging, and mechanical testing. His work supports national and international collaborative projects including European initiatives and the 2021 research framework, while engaging with industrial partners through joint chairs and regional partnerships.
