Sophie Yacoub is a Consultant Physician in Infectious Diseases and General Medicine, and the Dengue Research Group Head at the Oxford University Clinical Research Unit (OUCRU) in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam. She holds an Adjunct Assistant Professor position at the Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine in Singapore and has an honorary Consultant appointment at London North West University Healthcare NHS Trust in the UK.

- PhD (2016) through the Imperial College Wellcome Trust Clinical PhD Programme
- Masters from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine
Research Interests span Infectious Diseases, focusing on dengue, Chagas disease, malaria, and severe tropical infections. Her work includes pathogenesis studies, patient monitoring technologies, physiology research, and clinical trials of novel therapies.
