Sophie Jalbert is a Professor of Arts Education in the Department of Education at TÉLUQ University. Previously, she served as a lecturer and internship supervisor at the Université du Québec à Rimouski and contributed to research and course development at Université Laval, including the creation of the Music and Learning course and a training program for entrepreneurs. She also has extensive field experience as an elementary music teacher for over twelve years and held roles at the Kamouraska–Rivière-du-Loup School Services Center and the Quebec government's Culture–Education Team.

Dr. Jalbert's research focuses on the democratization of entrepreneurial approaches in teaching, particularly in music and arts education, and their impact on students' cognitive development, especially executive functions. She investigates innovative teaching practices that integrate the arts into school curricula and employs quantitative and quasi-experimental methodologies in educational settings. Her work bridges arts education, entrepreneurship, and cognitive science to foster interdisciplinary learning.

Dr. Jalbert is featured in OSEntreprendre's Inspiring Journeys of Women from Here (2020) and has led initiatives such as the first elementary drumline in eastern Quebec City, demonstrating her commitment to practical, community-engaged scholarship.
