Sonja Kuzich is an Associate Professor in the School of Education at Curtin University, holding academic leadership roles such as Director of Learning and Teaching and leading the Teacher Education and Curriculum Research Cluster. She specializes in Education for Sustainability (EfS), climate change education, and the intersection of nature and learning. Her work bridges research and practice, with a focus on curriculum development, teacher professional standards, and policy implementation. Kuzich holds advanced qualifications including a PhD in Education and has received multiple teaching awards, including finalist for the Australian Award for University Teaching (2022).

Dr. Kuzich has secured over $2.5M in research funding and maintains active international collaborations. She serves on numerous boards, including the UNAAWA Environment Committee and Western Australian Institute of Educational Research (WAIER) as President.
Teaching spans undergraduate and postgraduate levels, with a focus on fostering student writing skills and sustainable education practices. She has supervised numerous research students across Honours, EdD, and PhD levels.
