Solène Prince is an Associate Professor in Tourism Science at Linnaeus University, School of Business and Economics, with a focus on sustainable tourism, ancestral tourism, and rural development. She teaches courses in destination management, sustainable tourism, and research methodologies.

Her research bridges tourism, renewable energy, and cultural heritage, particularly examining wind power’s impact on rural tourism and ancestral genealogical travel. Notable projects include energy justice for rural communities and offshore wind-tourism coexistence in the blue economy. Recent publications in Tourism Geographies, Annals of Tourism Research, and co-edited anthology Islandscapes and Tourism highlight her interdisciplinary approach.
She has received the 2022 Mid Sweden University MFS Pedagogical Award for teaching excellence and serves on editorial boards for Tourism Geographies and Annals of Tourism Research, as well as the Small Island Cultures Research Initiative (SICRI).
