Sofia Frankenberg is an Associate Professor at Stockholm University's Department of Child and Youth Studies, specializing in preschool education and child development. Her research focuses on early childhood pedagogy, socioemotional learning, and the integration of digital tools in preschool settings. She leads key projects such as the Nordic research network for evidence-based preschool practices and the VR-funded project on bodily care and self-regulation in preschool. With a PhD in Psychology from Linköping University (2012), she also holds clinical psychology credentials. Her work bridges interdisciplinary collaboration, emphasizing practical research methodologies and ethical frameworks in early education.
