Soeren Lienkamp is an Associate Professor at the Department of Health Sciences and Technology (HEST) at ETH Zurich. His research focuses on understanding kidney development, genetic mechanisms underlying renal dysfunction, and transcriptional regulation of renal tubular cell identity.
- Investigates congenital kidney diseases using Xenopus models
- Pioneers direct reprogramming of fibroblasts into renal tubular-like cells (iRECs)
- Studies 3D assembly of renal structures and molecular origins of tubular diseases
His work is supported by grants from the Swiss National Science Foundation, NCCR Kidney.CH, and the European Research Council (ERC). He collaborates with the Institute of Anatomy at the University of Zurich and welcomes potential team members to contact him via his website lienkamplab.org.
