Chatterjee's research focuses on the molecular mechanisms underlying long-term memory impairments in Alzheimer’s Disease and Related Dementias (ADRD). His lab employs single-nuclei (RNA+ATAC) multi-omics, spatial transcriptomics, native chromatin enrichment, proximity labeling, and pharmacological approaches to study transcriptional and epigenetic dysregulation in neurodegeneration. Projects include investigating histone acylation, environmental toxin impacts on cognition, and molecular signatures of memory in mice and human brains.
His recent publications highlight integrative studies in Neuroscience, Molecular Biology, and Pharmacology, with a recurring emphasis on memory consolidation, neurodegenerative diseases, and epigenetic modifications. The work often bridges transcriptomics, mouse models, and pharmacological interventions.
Chatterjee is associated with graduate programs in Biomedical Science (Molecular Medicine and Pharmacology) and contributes to the interdisciplinary understanding of neurodegeneration through collaborative affiliations.
