Smisha Agarwal, PhD, MBA, MPH, is an Associate Professor at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health and the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Her primary affiliation is with the Department of International Health, focusing on strengthening health systems in low-income settings through technological innovations. She holds a PhD, an MBA, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the Johns Hopkins University system.
Her research interests center on digital health solutions, maternal and neonatal health, community health systems, and evidence-based impact evaluations. She leads projects evaluating mobile health (mHealth) technologies, community health worker programs, and global health policy frameworks.
