Vidhi Maniar is a Researcher affiliated with the Department of Health, Behavior and Society at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She holds an MPH from New York Medical College (2019) and an MS from S.N.D.T Women’s University (2011). Her research focuses on gender equity, non-communicable diseases, digital health innovations, and nutrition, with a particular emphasis on low- and middle-income countries. She is part of the Gender Equity Unit and contributes to the Data for Health Initiative.
Key projects include mobile health surveys in Colombia and Tanzania, evaluating airtime incentives for survey participation, and designing mHealth interventions to improve vaccine uptake. Her work has been recognized through awards such as the Academic Excellence Award (2019) and induction into the Delta Omega Public Health Honorary Society (2022).
Maniar’s publications analyze mobile health methodologies, demographic representativeness of surveys, and the impact of digital tools in public health surveillance. She collaborates with international teams on projects addressing tobacco use, maternal health, and pandemic response.
