Sjors Scheres

Sjors Scheres is a Research Fellow at the MRC-LMB in the University of Cambridge, specializing in the Structural biology of neurodegeneration. His work focuses on developing advanced image processing methods through the open-source software RELION for electron cryo-microscopy (cryo-EM) and determining disease-associated protein structures, particularly amyloid filaments from neurodegenerative disorders like Alzheimer's disease and chronic traumatic encephalopathy.
