Sissel McCarthy is a Distinguished Lecturer and Director of the Journalism Program at Hunter College, City University of New York. With over 12 years of teaching experience at Hunter College, NYU, and Emory University, she specializes in journalism education, multimedia reporting, and news literacy. She has transformed Hunter's curriculum by integrating digital tools, requiring students to build personal websites and use social media for research and publishing.
