Professor Siraj Sait is a Professor of Law and Development at the Royal Docks School of Business and Law, University of East London (UEL), and Director of the Noon Centre for Equality and Diversity since 2019. He holds a Harvard education in human rights law and has served as a public prosecutor and government legal advisor in India. With extensive UN experience, he co-created the Global Land Tool Network (GLTN) and currently serves as Co-Chair of UN-Habitat's Stakeholder Advisory Group Enterprise (SAGE) and member of the UNH Advisory Group on Gender Issues (AGGI).

Research Interests: Professor Sait focuses on Human Rights, Sustainable Development Goals, Gender Equality, Youth Participation, Climate Change, Land Rights, Urban Planning, and Health Equity. His work intersects legal frameworks, policy advocacy, and grassroots community resilience, particularly in marginalized regions.
Current Projects:
- Co-PI for a NIHR-funded project empowering youth participation in health decision-making in Newham.
- UN-funded initiatives including the GLTN Gender Strategy (2019-2030), land tenure & climate vulnerability studies, and North African land administration curricula.
Grants & Funding: Projects funded by UN, UKRI, GCRF, NIHR, and GLTN, totaling over $50 million in SDG-aligned programs.
Labs/Teams: Leads the Noon Centre, a global hub advancing equality, human rights, and inclusive urban communities. Collaborates with 40 external partners and advises UEL’s 30 researchers and staff. Oversees initiatives like Global Scholars and the Global Equality Awards.
