Simona Hankins

Simona Hankins, PhD, RN, CNE is a Nursing Specialty Track Coordinator at the School of Nursing, Norwich University, where she joined in 2024. She holds a PhD in Nursing Education and Leadership from Oklahoma City University (2023), an MSN in Nursing Education from Jacksonville University (2016), and a BSN from Saint Anthony College of Nursing (2006).

Her research focuses on diversity in the nursing workforce, innovative teaching methods, and simulation use in graduate nursing programs. She brings extensive clinical experience from roles in emergency care, primary care, occupational health, and home health.

A transplanted Vermonter since 2021, she balances her academic work with per-diem clinical practice at UVM Medical Center and enjoys outdoor activities, reading, and cooking.
