معرفی
Simona Donati Guerrieri is an Associate Professor at the Department of Electronics and Telecommunications (DET) at Politecnico di Torino. She has been actively involved in research and teaching in the fields of microwave electronics, electron devices, and computer-aided design.
Her research focuses on computer-aided design, electron devices, microwave electronics, and multiphysics modeling. Her specific research lines include microwave circuit design, modeling and simulation of electron devices, and variability analysis of electron devices. Her work addresses important challenges in microelectronics and microwave engineering, with applications relevant to sustainable energy and technology.
Her recent publications demonstrate a strong focus on technology CAD for microwaves, nonlinear device modeling using artificial intelligence techniques, and advanced modeling of semiconductor devices like GaN HEMTs. Her work bridges the gap between device physics and circuit performance, with particular emphasis on millimeter-wave applications and power amplifier design.
She is an active member of the scientific community, serving on editorial boards for prestigious journals including:
- IEEE Transactions on Electron Devices (2010-)
- IEEE Transactions on Microwave Theory and Techniques (2010-)
- IEEE Transactions on Computer-Aided Design of Integrated Circuits and Systems (2018-)
- International Journal of Numerical Modelling (2018-)
- Electronics Letters (2018-)
Professor Donati Guerrieri has supervised PhD students including Edoardo De Ruvo (currently working on Materials, Sustainable Processes, and Systems for the Transition) and Eva Catoggio (who completed her thesis on "Advanced modeling of nanoscale devices for analog applications"). She has led significant research projects including GANAPP (2020-2024) focusing on GaN technologies for millimeter-wave applications, and a PRIN project (2007-2009) on noise simulation in electronic devices.
She is a member of several professional organizations:
- IEEE (since 1997)
- MECSA (since 1997)
- EUMA (since 2015)
