معرفی
Simon Poulson is a Research Professor in the Graduate Program of Hydrologic Sciences at the University of Nevada Reno since 2010, having progressed from Assistant Research Professor (1998-2006) to Associate Research Professor (2006-2010) at the same institution. His academic career includes post-doctoral research at the University of Wyoming, Dartmouth College, and Pennsylvania State University, with teaching responsibilities for GEOL 330 (Introduction to Geochemistry) and GEOL 416/616 (Environmental Geochemistry).
His educational background includes:
- Ph.D., Pennsylvania State University (1990)
- B.A. (Hons), University of Cambridge, UK (1985)
Dr. Poulson's research focuses on environmental geochemistry, low temperature geochemistry, and stable isotope geochemistry, investigating chemical processes in natural environments through water-rock interactions, contaminant transport mechanisms, and elemental cycling in surface systems. His work applies isotopic tracers to understand geochemical behavior under near-surface conditions.
