Simon Kelly

Simon Kelly is a Lecturer in Management at the School for Business and Society, University of York. Alongside his academic role, he serves as Chief Executive Officer of Cohesion Marketing Services and Partner at Shake Marketing. Previously, he worked at BT's Major Business Division as Marketing Director until 2002, leading marketing efforts to top business and government customers, and at Level 3 Communications in Colorado (USA), where he managed North American Marketing. He also held a visiting lecturer position at Colorado University (Boulder) for their International Telecoms Masters programme.

Simon is a 'pracademic' with over 30 years of industry experience in ICT, focusing on B2B marketing and sales integration. His research interests include customer value proposition development, strategic marketing frameworks, and the transition of businesses from product-centric to value-based approaches. He co-authored the book 'Value-ology: Aligning sales and marketing to shape and deliver profitable customer value propositions.'
