Simon Hammond

Dr. Simon Hammond is Associate Professor in Education at the University of East Anglia's School of Education and Lifelong Learning and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. His research examines how digital technologies reshape social possibilities across the life course, focusing on digital inclusion, resilience, and equality experiences of marginalized groups. He holds a PhD in Social Psychology from UEA, an MSc in Psychology from Nottingham Trent University, and a BA from University of Northampton.

Hammond has secured substantial research funding including projects from NIHR, ESRC, and Internet Matters, totaling over £300,000. His methodological innovations include Participant Information Clips and Podwalking. Current doctoral supervision includes work on digital resilience and transitions for young adults with special educational needs.
