Simon Boyes is a Senior Lecturer at Nottingham Law School, Nottingham Trent University, and a member of the Centre for Rights and Justice. He teaches International, European and Comparative Law, Public Law and Human Rights modules on LL.B programmes, and leads the LLM in Sports Law programme.

Research Interests: Simon specializes in sports law and regulation, with primary focus on legal frameworks governing sports bodies, tensions between sports self-regulation and national/international legal systems, and intersections of sport with European Union law. His work critically examines how legal principles apply to autonomous sports governance structures, particularly regarding human rights compliance and regulatory accountability in international sporting contexts.

Advising and External Activity: Simon supervises postgraduate research students in sports law and related fields.
