Dr Eleanor Drywood is a Senior Lecturer at the Liverpool Law School (University of Liverpool) since October 2013, following her appointment as Lecturer in 2008. She holds a PhD from the University of Liverpool (2010) and a degree from the Université de Bordeaux-Montesquieu IV. As Director of the European Children's Rights Unit, her work focuses on children’s rights in sports law, migration, and EU legal frameworks. Her research explores intersections between sports governance, asylum law, and socio-legal methods, with collaborations at UNICEF and the EU Fundamental Rights Agency.
Her teaching spans EU Law, Asylum and Immigration Law, and Tort Law, including modules like LAW209 (Law of Tort) and LAW347 (Sports Law). Professional roles include external examiner positions at the University of Warwick and Nottingham Trent University (2013–2015), along with memberships in the Socio-Legal Studies Association and University Association for Contemporary European Studies.
