Professor Elspeth Guild holds a PhD and is a Professor of Law at the University of Liverpool, affiliated with both the School of Law and Social Justice and the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences. Her research focuses on EU migration law, human rights frameworks, and the legal implications of Brexit. She has published extensively on topics such as Frontex operations, post-pandemic governance dynamics, and transnational legal challenges. Recent work includes analyses of Ireland’s opt-in clauses in EU asylum policies and the Marrakesh Compact’s institutional mechanisms.
