Simon Blackburn is a Professor in the Department of Mathematics at Royal Holloway, University of London. His research focuses on combinatorics, cryptography, group theory, and the mathematics of communication. Recent projects include work on ribbon tilings, exponent-critical groups, and finite field matrix channels.

Recent publications address tiling entropy bounds, subgroup exponent analysis, and cryptographic communication models.
