Anica Zeyen

Anica Zeyen is a Professor at Royal Holloway, University of London, serving as Vice Dean for Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) in the School of Business and Management since 2023. She holds academic affiliations with the Centre for Research into Sustainability Strategy and the Centre for Critical and Historical Research on Organisation and Society. Her work focuses on disability inclusion through interdisciplinary research, teaching, and community engagement.

Zeyen completed her PhD at Leuphana University (Germany) and has held visiting roles at institutions like Ivey Business School and the University of Johannesburg. She is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy and has received teaching awards including the 2016 Excellence Teaching Award. Her research explores disability in entrepreneurship, work, and societal contexts, employing co-created qualitative methods such as ethnography and visual arts.

Key research areas include disability economics, inclusive innovation, and the intersection of disability with technology and sustainability. She co-founded the annual Spring Institute, a global platform advancing disability research in management disciplines. Zeyen’s work extends beyond academia through collaborations with NGOs, governments, and media projects like the documentary Invisible and the podcast Accessibility & Me.

Notable awards include the King’s Business School Impact Prize (2023) and recognition for her contributions to student engagement. She actively advocates for disability rights through volunteer work with organizations like Guide Dogs for the Blind Association UK and the Surrey Coalition of Disabled People.
