Silvi Salupere is a Lecturer in Semiotics at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics. She holds both a Master's Degree (1979) and a Doctor's Degree (2018) from the University of Tartu, with her doctoral dissertation focusing on Juri Lotman's metalanguage.
