Mari-Liis Madisson is a Research Fellow in Semiotics at the University of Tartu's Faculty of Arts and Humanities, Institute of Philosophy and Semiotics. She has held various academic roles since 2013, including visiting positions at Queen's University Belfast and the University of Turin. Her work focuses on semiotics of politics, conspiracy theories, and media analysis. She earned her PhD in 2016 with a thesis on the semiotic construction of identities in hypermedia environments.
