Silas Hansen

Silas Hansen is an Associate Professor of English at Ball State University's Department of English, part of the College of Sciences and Humanities. His research focuses on creative nonfiction, multimodal writing, and literary pedagogy. He holds an M.F.A. from The Ohio State University and a B.S. from SUNY Brockport.

His work has appeared in The Normal School, Colorado Review, and Slate, earning recognition such as the AWP Intro Journals Project Award (2013) and three 'Notable Essay' citations. His teaching emphasizes innovative creative writing practices and digital humanities integration.
