Sila Kurugol

Sila Kurugol is an Assistant Professor of Radiology at Harvard Medical School and Principal Investigator of the Quantitative Intelligent Medical Imaging (QUIN) Research Group at Boston Children's Hospital. She also leads the Computational Radiology Lab (CRL). Her work focuses on developing machine learning and computational techniques for quantitative medical imaging, particularly in abdominal imaging and automated disease analysis.

Research Interests: Dr. Kurugol specializes in motion-robust quantitative imaging, automated analysis of medical images using deep learning, and extraction of imaging biomarkers. Her current projects include developing algorithms for Crohn’s disease markers, high-resolution renal imaging, and improving deep learning techniques via active learning, semi-supervised learning, and uncertainty quantification.
