Siim Andres is a Junior Research Fellow in Affective Psychology (50% FTE) at the Institute of Psychology, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Tartu. Concurrently, he serves as a Mental Health Advancement Coordinator (50% FTE) in the Department of Academic Affairs. He completed his Master of Arts in Psychology (2024) at the University of Tartu, focusing on emotion regulation strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic, and is currently pursuing his PhD on contextual and individual-level factors of adaptive emotion regulation.

Research Interests center on emotion regulation effectiveness, mental health promotion, and behavioral approaches to research ethics. His work bridges experimental psychology with societal well-being, as evidenced by his involvement in large-scale national and European Union-funded projects.
Projects include the Estonian Center of Excellence of Well-Being Sciences (2024–2030, €976,886) and the EU initiative Beyond Bad Apples (2023–2025, €311,163), focusing on evidence-based methods in research ethics.
He has held roles at the University of Tartu since 2023, including Project Specialist (2023–2024) and Prevention Coordinator (2025–).
