Mrs Sian Nelligan-Wang serves as a Lecturer in the Paramedic Unit at Flinders University's Sturt Campus, responsible for teaching, assessment across all paramedic science year levels, and research activities while maintaining AHPRA paramedic registration.
Her qualifications include:
- Bachelor of Paramedic Science from Flinders University
- Honours in Health Science from the University of Adelaide
- Bachelor of Science (Biomedical Science) with majors in Microbiology & Immunology and Physiology from the University of Adelaide
Her research bridges paramedic science and molecular oncology, with foundational expertise in cancer biomarker identification (breast cancer, sarcoma, colon cancer stem cells) and Phase I/II clinical trials. Current work focuses on emergency medical practice and paramedic education methodologies within the Paramedic Unit.
Professional recognition includes:

She teaches 12 core paramedic courses spanning traumatic/medical emergencies, pathophysiology, clinical assessment, and decision-making. Active in professional development through the First Year Community of Practice, Emerging Leaders Showcase Committee, and HERGA.
