Shveta Bathla is an Associate Research Scientist at the Yale School of Medicine (Yale University). Her research focuses on neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s, using proteomics and molecular biology approaches. She investigates mechanisms of tau hyperphosphorylation, calcium signaling in aging brains, and cross-species biomarkers for disease diagnosis. Key collaborations include work with Angus Nairn and colleagues on protein interactions and neuropharmacology.
Her research interests span Alzheimer’s pathogenesis, proteomic analysis of biological systems (including bovine models), and drug target discovery. Recent studies highlight her work on mitochondrial metabolism, iPSC modeling of axonal pathology, and optimizing proteomic techniques for single-cell analysis.
Bathla’s publications emphasize translational applications of proteomics, from biomarker discovery to understanding aging-related neurological changes. She has contributed to advancements in proximity labeling, TMT-based quantitation, and cross-species translational research.
