Shroug Alotaibi is a Lecturer in Saudi Arabia and a third-year PhD candidate at Swansea University's School of Management, specializing in Human Resources. Her research focuses on skilled migrant experiences in Saudi Arabia, addressing organizational resource utilization and international career dynamics. Supported by her supervisor and the Postgraduate Research team, she has engaged in library courses and yoga programs to enhance well-being during her studies. She emphasizes building academic networks to combat homesickness, leveraging Swansea's coastal location reminiscent of her hometown, Jeddah.
Research Interests: Shroug investigates international mobility's impact on organizations, particularly how cultural, social, and economic resources of skilled migrants influence workplace dynamics. Her work aims to provide a holistic understanding of migration challenges and benefits in Saudi Arabia, a global hub for migrant labor. Future goals include publishing findings and becoming an influential researcher in migration studies.
