Shirley Williams (Migizi ow Kwe) is Professor Emeritus at Trent University's Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies, with affiliations to the First Peoples House of Learning. A member of the Bird Clan of the Ojibway and Odawa First Nations, her work centers on Indigenous language preservation and environmental knowledge.
