Paula Sherman is a full-time Professor at the Chanie Wenjack School for Indigenous Studies at Trent University, where she serves as the Director of the Indigenous Studies Ph.D. program. Her work focuses on restoring Indigenous autonomy through historical research grounded in Indigenous methodologies and practices.
- Research methods include Indigenous performance, language revitalization, land-based knowledge, orality, and archival/documentary sources
- Accepts students working on Indigenous history, Indigenous women, or related fields
