Shingirayi Kandi is a PhD Researcher at the School of Education, Anglia Ruskin University. His research focuses on embedding outdoor learning in special schools for pupils with Complex, Severe, Profound Multiple Learning Disabilities (CSPMLD) in England. He combines lived experience and academic expertise in disability inclusion, safety, and support for Black and minority ethnic communities. Prior to his PhD, he worked as a full-time teacher in the HMP Prison Service, developing skills in rehabilitation, extremism prevention, and education. He also served as a support worker for children with disabilities, earning recognition for exceptional care.
