Albert Hushie is a Lecturer Practitioner and Module Leader at Anglia Ruskin University (ARU), Faculty of Health, Medicine and Social Care, School of Nursing in Chelmsford. He joined ARU in 2021 after a distinguished NHS career, bringing extensive expertise in mental health nursing, learning disability services, secure environments, rehabilitation, and community mental health care.

- BA (Hons) in Social Science (Politics and Religions), University of Ghana
Research Interests:
Albert's research addresses critical gaps in mental healthcare delivery and nursing practice:
- Physical health promotion strategies for individuals with severe and enduring mental illness
- Work-life balance challenges faced by ethnic minority nurses
- Mental health needs of Christian communities and faith-based interventions
Teaching and Professional Leadership:
As Module Leader for Mental Health Pre-Registration Nursing, Albert designs curriculum content bridging theory and clinical practice. He maintains active clinical engagement through weekly practice sessions to ensure real-world relevance, while serving as Link Lecturer for placements across Rochford, Basildon, and Thurrock. His dual academic-clinical role enables direct student mentorship and assessment as an academic assessor.
