Shilpa Lacy is an Associate Professor of Psychology in the Human Services and Sciences school at Gallaudet University. She specializes in multicultural psychology, intersectionality, and issues affecting the Deaf community. Her research focuses on mental health advocacy, dementia care accessibility, and systemic barriers faced by Deaf individuals with disabilities.
Dr. Lacy is actively involved in campus governance, serving as Chair of the Council on Undergraduate Education (2023) and member of Middle States Commission on Higher Education accreditation committees. She has led initiatives to improve inclusive pedagogy and diversify academic leadership.
