Her research interests center on antimicrobial resistance and usage patterns in western Canadian cow-calf herds. She has led epidemiological studies on health and productivity in these herds and contributed to national surveillance initiatives. Her work bridges veterinary medicine, public health, and agricultural practices to address antibiotic stewardship challenges.
Collaborations include ongoing projects with PHAC and CIPARS, focusing on zoonotic disease surveillance and antimicrobial resistance mitigation strategies. Dr. Gow’s career spans mixed animal practice, pharmaceutical representation, and academic research, combining hands-on experience with policy-driven public health efforts.
