John Campbell

John Campbell is Professor in the Department of Large Animal Clinical Sciences at the University of Saskatchewan's Western College of Veterinary Medicine. As director of the college's disease investigation unit, he researches epidemiology of infectious diseases and beef cattle health management. He is Principal Investigator for the Canadian Cow-Calf Surveillance Network (C3SN).

His work addresses antimicrobial resistance, trace mineral status, vaccine efficacy, and respiratory diseases in cattle. Recent studies analyze pathogen prevalence in feedlots, technology adoption in cow-calf herds, and immunoglobulin dynamics in neonatal calves.

He authored over 150 publications and holds DVM (Guelph) and DVSc (Guelph) degrees.
