Sherry H-Y Chou

Dr. Sherry H-Y Chou is an Associate Professor of Neurology at Northwestern University, serving as Chief of Neurocritical Care and leader of the Neuro-spine ICU at Northwestern Memorial Hospital. She chairs the American Heart Association Stroke Council Neurocritical Care committee and drives translational research in precision medicine, biomarkers, and global collaborations for severe vascular brain injuries. Her work bridges clinical care and research, emphasizing neurocritical care innovations and pandemic-related neurological challenges.

Education: BS and MD from McGill University (1997–2001), followed by advanced training at Harvard institutions, including a MMSc (2009) and leadership programs (2010).
